奈良 美智 / Yoshitomo Nara

1959年青森県弘前市生まれ
1987年愛知県立芸術大学大学院修了後、渡独
1993年ドイツ国立デュッセルドルフ芸術アカデミー修了
2005年~現在　栃木を拠点に制作

2008年　『Yoshitomo Nara + graf』（BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art、ニューカッスル、イギリス）
2006年　『Moonlight Serenade -月夜曲』（金沢21世紀美術館、石川）、『Yoshitomo Nara + graf A to Z』（吉井酒造煉瓦倉庫、弘前）
2004年　『From the Depth of My Drawer』（原美術館、東京から全国/ソウル巡回）
2003年　『Nothing Ever Happens』（クリーブランド現代美術館から全米巡回）
2001年　『I don't mind, if you forget me.』（01年、横浜市美術館から全国巡回）など

グループ展にも世界各国で参加、近年では第6回アジア・パシフィック現代アートトリエンナーレ（09年、Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art、ブリスベン、オーストラリア）、『絵画の庭 ─ ゼロ年代日本の地平から』（10年、国立国際美術館、大阪）などに出展。

1962年　米コロラド州ボールダー生まれ
1984年　カーネギーメロン大学を卒業
1986年　イエール大学にて修士号を取得
現在　ニューヨークにて制作
